KGV truly shines with her HE shells, however, as per the norm now with Royal Navy Battleships, they have excellent penetration, decent damage (for their caliber) and outstanding fire chance - coupled with the fastest Tech Tree reload at Tier VI - any targets you can't penetrate with AP, you can simply burn away. She possesses excellent armor capable of reliably bouncing and shattering incoming ranged AP shells while also being able to navigate and relocate across the map effectively thanks to her powerful engines and best in class concealment.Īrmed with ten 356mm guns, the smallest Battleship guns at this tier aside from Lyon and Scharnhorst, the shells lack the AP penetration to cause significant damage to heavily armored targets but can make short work of light plating and cruisers. The King George V (or "KGV") is somewhat of an odditity. Below average rudder shift and large turning circle radius are far cry from the agility of earlier British Battleships.Short range, low caliber guns mean the the AP shells struggle to penetrate heavily armored targets. Turrets are prone to being knocked which can effectively neuter the ships firepower thanks to the 4-2-4 arrangement of the guns.
